The best Arab marriage sites: how to choose for yourself

No ranking, no stars. The criteria that separate a serious platform from the rest, and what each one says about itself.

Updated 8 September 2026

Almost every page titled "the best marriage sites" is written to sell you something — including this one, since we are one of the platforms on it. The difference is that we say so at the top rather than in a footnote.

So you will not find a one-to-ten ranking here, no star ratings, and no table where we tick ourselves and cross everyone else. Two things are ours to offer: criteria that serve you whatever you choose, and what each platform says about itself in its own words.

Eight questions worth asking

Our answers are written out plainly. The other column is left to you: ask them, or look through their pages. We do not answer on their behalf.

  1. Is the platform for marriage, or does it fold in dating and friendship?

Read its front-page headline. A platform that puts "friendship" or "dating" next to "marriage" is addressing two audiences, and it will get both.

  2. Who decides who sees your photos?

Find the privacy settings before you register. A platform that makes photo control a paid feature has told you its priorities.

  3. Are profiles read by a person before they go live?

Human review is slow and expensive, so many drop it. Ask support directly rather than trusting a marketing page.

  4. What happens to numbers and links inside messages?

Most fraud starts by moving the conversation off-platform. Stripping them removes the commonest form of pressure.

  5. What does a genuinely useful minimum cost?

Do not ask "is it free"; ask "what can I do without paying". Many platforms are free to browse and locked at the first message.

  6. Can you delete your account and your data, and how fast?

Look for the answer in the privacy policy before registering. No answer is an answer.

  7. Who is behind the platform, and where?

A company with a known address and a law it answers to beats a faceless app. Look for an "about" page and a legal entity.

  8. How are reports handled?

Test it: send support a question before you pay, and see how long the reply takes and who sends it.

Platforms named here

We visited the front page of every platform named here, quoted the sentence each uses to describe itself, and recorded the date. We did not copy their prices, because prices change and differ by country. We did not give them ticks and crosses, because we have no way to verify them. What we add is our reading, and we say so.

Muzz

Where Single Muslims Meet for Love & Marriage — join over 20 million single Muslims finding their perfect partner in the halal, free, and fun way.

Quoted from their own site, 8 September 2026

A very large global app, addressing Muslims everywhere in English first, and promising marriage and fun in the same breath.

Salams

Best Rated Muslim Marriage & Friendship App.

Quoted from their own site, 8 September 2026

An app that puts marriage and friendship in the same headline. If you are looking for marriage only, ask how it separates the two.

Muslima

Muslim Matrimonials — meet Muslim singles on Muslima, the most trusted Muslim dating site with over 7.5 million members.

Quoted from their own site, 8 September 2026

An old, large site that calls itself a "dating site" rather than a marriage site in its own description — a distinction worth noticing.

buzzArab

buzzArab is the place for Arabs, Arab Christians, Muslims and just about everybody else who is looking for friends, dating or a life partner.

Quoted from their own site, 8 September 2026

Addresses Arabs of every faith and folds friendship, dating and marriage into one promise. The broadest in scope, and the least specific to marriage.

Half Our Deen

Half Our Deen — a matrimony Muslim website.

Quoted from their own site, 8 September 2026

An explicitly matrimonial site, with no mention of dating or friendship. The closest here to what we do, though its audience is originally American.

Our own answer

Mizan is for marriage only; profiles are read by a person before they go live; privacy and blocking tools are free for everyone; numbers and links are stripped from messages; and the free account covers browsing, expressing interest and starting two conversations a day. We stand behind that under the name and address of the Mizan marriage agency. We are not the biggest or the best known, and we do not claim to be.
