Our approach
« Halal », concretely
The word is often displayed and rarely explained. Here is what it covers with us, point by point — and what it does not.
What does a halal approach mean in a marriage agency?
At Mizan, « halal » means working rules, not a label. The intention to marry is stated on the first screen, with the timeframe you have in mind: a file with no marriage plan has no place here. No one writes to you without your consent — there is no messaging, no open search, no directory, and the agency introduces two people only when both agree. Your family can be involved in your file if you wish, and you decide what they see. No photo is published, and no file appears in a search engine. The introduction is made by a person who has read both files, and no ranking can be bought.
What the word does not cover here: no religious certification, because what belongs to fiqh belongs to your imam or your family, and no promise of marriage.
What the word changes, point by point
Many services display the word and stop there. We prefer to say what it changes in how things work, because that can be checked — and because a word that changes nothing is worth nothing.
What we do not claim
And if you do not recognise yourself in that word
Some people seek a serious marriage without using this vocabulary, and others are converting or considering it. The process is the same for everyone: what counts is the intention, not the word used to name it.
